Wouldn't have it any other way 1/12/2014

Hey y'all! :)

I hope you are all enjoying our winter....meanwhile I'm just over here freezing my little buns off! (See Pic 2) It got to -8 degrees this week. My nose hairs were literally frozen within minutes of me walking outside. I have so many pairs of fleece tights and wool socks it's getting to be a little ridiculous. But in case you were wondering... I haven't frozen yet. Sister Olsen actually told me I was a pro at driving in the snow today...I don't fear for my life when I drive now so there is definitely some improvement here! :)

No.1 Miracle of the week:
drum roll.....Liz came to church!!! :) Let me tell you, fasting works miracles. I am still receiving answers to prayers...it's amazing. We were able to get 3 lessons in with Liz this week with members present at all of them. It really has been so humbling to see the change that has taken place within her in just 1 week. I love her so much....she seems to really be influenced by the Book of Mormon and is actually reading them even though she doesn't understand them completely...which is just awesome. She is still on to be baptized..to say I'm happy is in understatement :)

We have also started teaching this awesome lady named Debbie, who I mentioned a couple weeks ago...and she has so much potential! Her best friend is a member and she is just awesome. She has been to every lesson with her and even though she lives like an hour away she is going to come all the way to Waterville just to come to church with her next week. Debbie actually prayed after our first lesson..she hasn't got an answer but she prayed!! Sister Olsen just told me yesterday that her and her previous companion had been referred to Debbie before and she had declined their invitation to learn... but she never told me. It took a couple times to get in contact with her and Sister Olsen didn't really see much potential there because of her previous experience...But, I'm really glad she didn't tell me that  though because I probably wouldn't have been so fast to follow the promptings to visit her as many times as we did....and now she is one of our two progressing investigators! That is a testimony to me that Heavenly Father NEVER gives up on His children.

Last Monday I was dealing with Holiday Hangover bad time and I just couldn't seem to be happy even up until Tuesday morning...It was very unusual for me because rarely am I like that. So Tuesday got up and got ready and then started my personal study...before I did I said my usual prayer but this time I just prayed and prayed and...prayed that I could get out of this weird funk and be normal so I could be effective. So I was studying the Plan of Salvation and I have studied and taught it multiple times...but as I read through it my sadness literally turned to happiness. My darkness turned to light and my heart was bursting out of my eyes! I felt the redeeming love of my Savior so strong...and this I have a testimony of...that God is my literal Father. He knows me. And he loves me. He has provided a plan for me which is all centered on the atonement of my Savior. As I trust in His plan and follow it...that is when I find true happiness. I have found it and I will never look back. Words can't explain the feelings I felt...my heart is feeled with Gratitude for the knowledge I have which has been confimed by the Holy Ghost.

I found a gem this week...Romans 8: 38-39
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In case you ever wonder...Heavenly Father is there. He hears your prayers....and HE LOVES YOU. If you ever think otherwise ask Him, He'll set you straight. :)

Ok, I'll get off my soapbox. I love you all so much!! And I hope you have a marvelous week...go to church, read your scriptures, say your prayers! You'll thank me later :)

Love,
Sister Innes
